We’re engaged!!

 

Quick update: Thank you everyone for reaching out and showing us love.  Yesterday was a really great day.  For those of you who know val, you know that I couldn’t “plan” this for one minute without her seeing right through me.  Thats one of the reasons I love her, she keeps things challenging because she hates surprises.  Yesterday’s surprise however she wasn’t complaining about after. I had a few ideas of how I would do it, but when the moment presented itself I knew I had to go for total shock and it worked perfect. We spent half the day together hanging out in the Laguna area.  Stopped by the Mission Viejo Mall to get some coffee and browse around a bit, went to The Regency Mann Theater to see Up The Yangtze (amazing movie - thanks for the tip Dave).  Then we found a little Italian spot right around the corner and got some dinner.

 

I planned out the Italian spot because they were the only restaurant I could find that serves Tagliatelle which is her favorite dish we had on our trip to Rome (our table). Once we sat down and ordered a bottle of wine, it worked out perfectly, she got up to go to the bathroom, so I set the box open under her napkin which she hadn’t touched yet. When she got back to the table the waiter was already pouring our wine for us and she said “Of Course”.

 

Thanks again to everyone who called, texted, commented and are sending their good wishes our way, we love you all and it makes things like this so much more worth it to share.

Regardless of what the “ohh, and one more thing” may bring at Job’s WWDC keynote tomorrow morning (possibly most likely the new phone), take a minute to appreciate the awesomeness of the original iPhone.  I don’t care who you are and even if you hate it, you can’t deny it’s an amazing piece of technology.

Last summer’s spiky haired corn harvest douche, Wheatstalks, is back, although as bouncy as Chiquita is, with a bit of a hott downgrade.

 

Unfortunately it looks like this year’s crop is getting a little thinner there, ‘Stalkboy.

 

Did Kevin Costner build a baseball field up there?
