Yahoo! Doubles Your Bang For the Buck

Yahoo! Music and MasterCard

Yahoo! MusicNow this sounds like an impressive deal. Apparently Yahoo! Music is doubling your year subscription when you pay for one on your MasterCard. Pricess move, aye?

Chasen, I know you’re up on the Y! music thing, maybe this works for you.

Yahoo! Music welcomes a new friend to the fold today, and this one brought gifts.

Together with MasterCard, we have taken the already inexpensive Yahoo! Music Unlimited product to a new, ridiculous low price. If you haven’t yet subscribed, this is the offer you’ve been holding out for.

From now until October 4, if you purchase an annual subscription to Yahoo! Music Unlimited with your MasterCard, you will get a second year free. For our PC service, this works out to be $2.50 a month for 2 years. To put it into context, here are a few other things in your life that likely cost about $2.50 a month:

  • the extra gas you use for keeping your golf clubs in the trunk
  • the accumulated cost of coffee you have spilled over the month
  • depreciation expense of your favorite jeans
  • operational costs of the feng shui fountain you bought at Target

So put the golf clubs in the garage and pass the savings on to music. If you are a Visa regular, pull out the dormant Mastercard for this special offer. For the price of 2.5 downloads a month, you can have unlimited access to our catalogue of approximately 2 million songs. This offer is available for Yahoo! Music Unlimited To-Go as well, which saves you $120.

You can go here to buy your 2 year subscription.

Interesting thought. Not sure why I havn’t really gotten around to figuring out Y! Music yet, probably because I’m too lazy to read the terms and figure out how I’ll end up breaking them without knowing about it. Maybe this is a good reason to try it out. Personally iTunes and AllTunes have been my best friends the past few months.
