Sasha and James Zabelia @ Avaland

All I have to say about the club last night was Hell YEA! Sandeep and I rolled down to Hollywood for the Sasha & James Zabelia event at Avaland. AvalandLucky for us we got there early at 11:00p and only had to pay $40 for parking, awesome. Of course the lines were wrapped around Vine and just short of Sunset Blvd. And what better way to wait then in the rain for almost 2 hrs in downtown Hollywood.

It was actually pretty interesting waiting outside knowing that it still wouldn’t be all that packed when we got in (like always). We met some dudes from Virgina on a Cali trip saying (this is California huh?) Heh, I told them it may be like this but I guarentee tomorrow will be 80degrees and gorgeous.. and of course, Ca never fails to impress. AvalandAnyhow back to the story, yea we finally got in around 1:00a and it was perfect timing, as soon as we got our first round to warm the hell up from being soaked in the rain, Sasha went on and his first 3 records were insaaaane. Sasha played straight till about 3am, total energy/progressive tracks with a touch of electro. Started to fall out right towards the end in my opinion, but then around 2:30a James Zabelia started up and I have to say, he ROCKED that place like no other I’ve ever seen. Sandeep and I both agree he is by far one of the best Electro DJ’s we’ve ever heard. Around 4:00a he started going back-to-back with Sasha and man, are they beyond amazing together. They playes so much electro, it was incredible. AvalandThe bass lines were unreal and we didn’t want to leave. So around 6:30a or 7am we closed the place out, beat the traffic of the still totally packed club out of the parking lot and proceeded to drive home with the sun blaring and a downpour of rain.

It was one hell of a night, and I’m so tempted to go back next Saturday to see Jonathan Peters again. Hes going solo, so I know it’s going to be an insane set.

Here’s to the weekend baby.

Just found some more pics.
