Creative Spam
Got yet another lovely use of the web at-work in my life this morning, as if i didn’t have enough Ambien, Xanex & Viagra yet. But one thing that caught my eye was that these were all spelled correctly and my spam filter didnt catch it. Intrigued by why (seeing as I am intrigued easily9 times out of 10), I investigated.
Clicking the word to select it seemed to select some other letters accross the screen, puzzled by what kind of html tricks they were pulling i found they pulled some sneaky CSS work:
Some Code Like This
A <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> u </span>
m <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> x </span>
b <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> o </span>
i <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> m </span>
e <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> m </span>
n <span style=”MARGIN-RIGHT: 0; float:right”> e </span>
</div>
Would produce something like this:
A u m x b o i m e m n e
… A for effort, you sneaky bastards.
