NBC fingers YouTube
So with the current state of DRM these days, it seems like you can’t get a damn break, no matter how viral, popular or virtually ad-free you may be. YouTube is a great example of an awesome web2.0 concept done well. Granted they could use a little better stylesheet on the site, still they rock. Like when they served the Chronicals of Narnia vid that went crazy on the web about a month ago. I probably watched it 4 times on the site before I threw it on my PSP, but of course all good things lead to a lawsuit. This is just moronic NBC, c’mon, live with the fact a few people know how to “record” what you broadcast over the air and happen to be geeks. Holy shit. If you’re going to be stingy and picky about your content flash your logo in the middle of the screen or something. As annoying as that may be, its much better then you picking a fight with well loved websites with the potential to bring them down. I can live with a logo, but spending unnecessary money, sweat and effort to take down YouTube is just a waste of everyones time. Yea, I said it.
