Broke-mac iPod

So my iPod crashed, again, today. This time I’ve got disk write errors when trying to reformat. Looks like the case of the broke-mac iPod to me. Fun. Just how I need to spend my weekend, braving the lines of 16 year-old looking for hot pink iPod accessories and familys on iChat in the store.

< curses under breath > Lets hope this lovely colorful little joy didn’t just turn into a $300 paperweight since I got under a whole year’s use out of it. < /curses >

After all these seasons it still amazes me how they come up with these intense story-lines, plot twists and crazy conspiracy theories.

Last night was (in my book) by far a pivitol plot twist. Walt Cummings having the audacity to lie to President Logan’s face about the intentions of his working with the Russians on this nerve gas deale-o. But of course, in comes superman Jack to threaten to carve his eyeball out like a delicious Buterball turkey on thanksgiving day would cause anyone to crack under pressure. And the look on the first lady’s face after Logan tried to kiss her on the cheek and walk away.. was I the only one that saw that? Wonder if that’s a foreshadow to something else she’s gonna be upto in the next few hours.

So we’ll see what CTU is going to do now that they lost their only leads and connections to where the gas is. Can’t wait for next monday. If you haven’t been watching shame on yourself, because that’s all I plan on talking about for a while. So either way it’s your loss. heh.

Fair Use in 99 Words

DRMWith all the talk of the Sony Root-Kit madness, the hightened enforcement of laws pertaining to music downloading and the heavier crackdown on P2P, it seems like the only way you can listen to music anymore is when you buy it. But heaven-forbid I try to listen to that purchased music on a “non-authorized” computer, my music tells me I can’t listen to it. Fun stuff, and seriously, it’s only getting worse. Saw this post on Boing Boing earlier and I thought it was worth a blog.

I love music, movies, and books. I also love technology. I want to use technology to deliver the media I love anywhere, anywhen, with anyone.
This is fair use: I bought it, let me use it. I will tell all my friends about my favorite music. I might play it for them or even give them a digital version of a song. This is evangelism, not theft. This is advertising you cannot buy.
Restrictive copyright is like a vegetarian knife. You bought the knife, but if you cut meat with it, we’ll sue you. Excuse me? Let’s think again.

Speaking of fun with DRM, your Senator needs an iPod!

Shotgun Greeting

Found this today. Talk about not screwing with countries on that side of the world.

So I havn’t posted much recently, been busy last week at work and at nights working on my new photos site. Looking good too I think, finally happy with a look for my photos and direction for how I want to take it. My buddy Tim has been helping me with some crazy flash 8 stuff I’m looking forward to trying a few things with. Keep it tuned, once I launch that it’s time for a re-design on my site here.

Ohh and don’t remember if I mentioned it or not, we’re posting at work again on outburst. Peep it, yo.

Miss Beatrice

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all. One afternoon the preacher came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.

As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom! When she came back in with tea and scones, they began to chat.

The preacher tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and He could no longer resist. “Miss Beatrice”, he asked, “Could you, would you, tell me about this?”pointing to the bowl.

“Oh, yes,” she replied, “Isn’t it wonderful? I was walking through the Park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet, and it would prevent the spread of disease. And,you know, I haven’t had the flu all year….?”

Heh, gotta love it.

Stewie Hosting Web Talk Show

‘Family Guy’s’ Stewie hosting Web talk show - Yahoo! News

StewieLAS VEGAS (Hollywood Reporter) - Heeeeere’s Stewie!

The tyrannical tyke in the Fox animated series “Family Guy” will be the virtual host of a talk show being developed strictly for the Internet later this year.

Stewie’s show will be based on familyguy.com (http://www.familyguy.com) and other News Corp.-owned Web properties catering to the young demographics that have embraced the Fox series.

“We think that the property is perfectly suited for that audience,” Fox Interactive Media president Ross Levinsohn said Tuesday.

He added that the idea for the show has been embraced on Madison Avenue by potential advertisers. He does not expect the program to cannibalize viewing for the Fox series or other “Family” brand extensions like DVD. Stewie wouldn’t be the first animated character to get his own talk show; that distinction belongs to “Space Ghost Coast to Coast,” which aired on Cartoon Network.

Victory is mine! I know about FOXCAST: Family Guy Edition, but hell the day Stewie has a podcast, you know I have found my reason for living.
