Avalon on Public SDK Release


Just saw that Microsoft just released the public SDK of Avalon this morning, I don’t know anyone who expected this to come out so soon. From what I understand, codename Avalon is a new API framework that will be at the core of Longhorn’s (the new version of XP ETA 2005) new information architecture. What’s awesome about XAML (the new code the framework works on) is that it’s so similar to HTML. This means easy customization and GUI tweaks for all. Finally those of us who like to program and aren’t uber-geekish enough to write everything from scratch on a daily basis may have a fighting chance to keep up :) Check it out, I’m going to give it a run tonight and play with it.
