So here’s something annoying as hell, seems my *cough*amazingly popular and high-traffic blog site *cough* is now a target for spam. My good friends at online-777-poker dot com or some crap decided to start spaming every post I’ve made to date in the comments of my site. The basterds keep using a different IP and i havn’t been able to track it yet, but im heavily researching on ARIN to find the dumb-asses. So I’m using a keyword filter to get rid of this now, lets see what happens.

And just to keep it fair, anyone used the Gas Tax Calculator? I actually didn’t know that Kerry was for a $0.50 increase in gas prices. According to this handy .net app, apparently on my 96 saturn sl in which i get 30+ mpg, my yearly gas tax increase = $419.01 & paying $45 more per week in gas… talk about screwed up man, if paying $2.40 a gallon and driving 400-500 miles per week wasn’t bad enough

It’s been raining here like a mo.fo over the past few days. So un-california like, but so well-needed. Usually we get a 4 month draught and then a day of light drizzle (while the news puts us on Storm Watch 2004), followed by a random summer in the middle of fall or winter, but latley it’s been crazy. Don’t get me wrong I aint complaining, hell I love the rain, but one thing about weather in california is that its just not right half of the time. Like this pic below i have from the car, it was pouring rain and yea, those are blue skies you see. I duno I give up sometimes, yet it does make for some fun pictures. Here I was bored:

So I know I’ve been MIA for the past few, my man Jordan and I were hanging out the other night shootin the shit and chillin listening to some new music. you may notice some new amazing tunes link’d up in the corner here, I’m workin on buildin my library just as any oldschool DJ would say, latley been pickin a lot of good stuff up from Starbucks believe it or not. They have some awesome compilations with groovy jazz and some classics.

Anthony is gettin his new camera today, punk. I’ve wanted this ‘lil bad boy for a while, freaking amazing how small they make this one, thing is the size of a lighter and takes same quality as my camera. I’m not jealous or anything.

So I havn’t posted in a few days because me Myk and Mark were busy getting ready for poker night last night. What we didn’t know is that those plans would change as soon as we got X-Men Legends for XBOX. hahaha good Lord this is one damn stressful game. we started at 7pm and finished at 3:30am this morning. In the process, we got as far as level 3 and apparently there a LOT farther to go. Checking in a little seems we still have to beat the Nuclear Facility, NYC Riot, Rescue Morlock & Muir Isle fight. Hahah, but next up is to finsih off juggernout, and then we unlock Gambit which we’re all waiting for. Lot of strategy in this game, damn nice rental from Blockbuster!

VEGAS NEXT WEEKEND:: SO mark decided to do it REAL big and bust the custom 2 level penthouse at a 4star Mariott in vegas for next weekend! We doin it, and rollin up strong with all the homies. We’re working on seeing if we can rent a few Volvo’s for the trip while we’re at it, just to make it that much sweeter. So yea, group of homies, bar in our hotel room (obviously), hit the club, Speariment Rhino till the A-M and then a lil poker to finish the day off. Details soon.

So last night was pretty interesting. On the way home I realized I had a flat tire, but had the radio up for so long in traffic I didn’t see when it happend. Pretty sure I was driving on my rim for about 15 miles. Always nice to turn the radio and hear a thumping sound coming from the front of the car. *hah* so yea i ran over a bolt that riped a huge hole in my tire, even saw the metal poking through from the steel-belt. Of course just what i needed, to buy 4 new tires this morning.. at least it’s payday tomorrow

On the flipside, check out what happend later that night. So I’m working on a few people computers for side ca$h, one of which a dad’s co-worker. So i plug it in last night, nothing out of the ordinary, and all of a sudden a huge loud pop came out of the power-supply. Of course my head was right next to it while i was plugging in cables. The bastard blew a transformer right off the board, and it was so loud it knocked me to the ground in shock. I was dizzy for about a minute until I realized what the hell just happened to me. After a little work I got it up and running (good ole windows 98) and realized that this was the same socket 370 pentium 500mhz computer i worked on 4 years ago. Want to take a guess how old the virus definitions were? Yea try Aug 2000. I did use the opportunity to use the legacy version of IE to test my sites and I’m glad to say it parses the CSS and div layers almost perfectly. I expected the worse and to my supprise, M$ came through..

So it’s 1:30a, I’m really tired and right before I jumped offline my homie sandeep send me this link’age to the new Sara McLachlin video on iTunes. I was cranky and asked what was up with it he told me “just watch it”. So I let it load while I plugged in my camera & downlaoded pictures, checked email, flipped through the sattelite real quick to see if anything worth staying up for was on, plugged in my cell phone, warmed up some dinner and came back to watch it. Regardless of the fact I already know the words to this song, i watched this 2 more times before i realized how crazy this was.

It’s really amazing when you look at the reality behind what this video shows, and moreover it’s just sad when you realize it’s all the damn truth. You’ll see what I mean if you watch it, but needless to say, I’m going to bed a little less grogy tonight, and a lot more thankful. *hat tip homie

So about a month ago my camera started acting up on me, but both times it happened it wasn’t for long so i didnt think much of it. Over the past few days the LCD screen is finally dying on me. You have no idea how sad this makes me, I feel like I’m loosing a family member. 17K pictures later she’s finally starting to feel the wrath of my greedy trigger finger.. I need to find my damn warranty recipt from Best Buy. The only thing is my homie Nabil who works there told me it could take up to 4 weeks to get fixed. That’s just unacceptable. So im stockin up on film and hoping for the best in the meantime As much as I’m trying to look past this tragedy, it just gives me more reason to buy my new camera.. More to come on my sick child soon.
